Development Officer, Corporate Relations - Museum of Fine Arts, Boston

The Development Officer, Corporate Relations reports to the Manager, Corporate Relations and is part of the broader Institutional Relations team. Primary responsibilities include cultivating, soliciting, upgrading, and stewarding corporate partners to achieve the annual Corporate Relations goal of $2.25M; building funding opportunities that include both membership and sponsorship; and assisting with the day-to-day administration of the Corporate Relations program.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three to five years of experience in Development or a related field such as corporate/client service or sales

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Excellent relationship and management skills

  • Goal-driven and self-motivated

  • A strong team player

  • Resourceful and creative in identifying and researching potential funders

  • A personality and work style that thrives in a complex, fast-paced environment

  • Solid sales skills (cold calling, presentation, persistence)

  • Special events coordination and management

  • Solid organizational skills

  • Detail oriented with an ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining the highest standards

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

  • Ability to work in a large, complex environment

  • Passion for the Museum and its mission
