Join us for an evening tour and then participate in drawing at the New York Transit Museum, with an 80s and 90s twist! Presented in conjunction with our upcoming exhibition, Flight of the Redbirds, come celebrate the iconic Redbird subway cars that blazed through New York City from the 1960s through the early 2000s. Hosted by New York City-based illustrators, James Yang, the evening will begin with an introduction to Yang’s work. Following the conversation, explore the Museum and draw inspiration from bygone days in our 1936 decommissioned subway station and vintage subway cars. All ages and skill levels are welcome. Sketch boards, paper and pencils will be provided, or you may bring your own art supplies (pencil and water based marker only, please). Tickets include one beer provided by Coney Island Brewery. Additional drink tickets will be available for a cash-only donation of $5 each.
