Job Details

Reports to: Director, IRDL


  • Administration and research for production of new audio tours, including setting up interviews and preparing research materials, tracking production.

  • Project management support for developing the next massive open online course (MOOC), including preparing research materials, gathering image assets, seeking image rights, and providing administrative support related to video production.

  • Massive open online course (MOOC) community engagement and support, including reviewing and responding to participant feedback, moderating discussion forums, and writing email newsletters.

  • Supporting qualitative visitor research initiatives, including collecting data (exit interviews, program surveys, formative studies, user testing and observations) and entering data.

  • Publishing and updating content on including interpretive labels, audio, video, publication excerpts, Archiving video, audio, and text for all projects.


  • Bachelor’s degree in art history, museums studies, journalism, humanities, cultural studies or related fields, and at least two to four years experience in a museum, art gallery, or similar organization  

  • Ability to work diplomatically with internal and external colleagues

  • Some project management experience.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively Ability to work on tight deadlines

  • Interest and experience in the arts, audience engagement, and public-facing resources Comfort speaking and working with the public in person and online

  • Experience with data entry and collection management systems (TMS) Experience with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, Photoshop, Survey Monkey Strong writing and editing skills
